Card Yard Collectibles is a sports card trading marketplace created to give collectors a dedicated space to buy, sell, and trade cards outside of traditional platforms. The goal was to build a brand that feels fun, recognizable, and rooted in sports culture while still looking professional enough to compete with larger marketplaces like eBay. The identity needed to appeal to both casual collectors and serious hobbyists.

Brief

The client wanted a brand that felt energetic and approachable while clearly communicating the focus on sports cards and collectibles. I set out to create a logo system that could work across digital platforms, mobile apps, social content, and merchandise while remaining simple and instantly recognizable. The direction leaned into sports-inspired typography and playful visual elements that reflect the excitement of collecting, trading, and discovering rare cards.

Solution

I developed a bold, flexible identity built around a custom wordmark and a strong “CY” emblem that integrates sports elements directly into the branding. The design balances playful personality with clean structure, allowing it to scale easily across web interfaces, icons, and promotional materials. The result is a modern sports collectibles brand that feels competitive, engaging, and built for a growing online marketplace.
